Dual-Control Hand Clutch
The Dual-Control Hand Clutch that Odebolt, IA, farmer David Fineran designed for his International 1086 tractor allows clutch operation by either hand. Having control levers on both sides of the steering console is especially helpful, since the shifter on this tractor is on the left side. Operation of the hand clutch is enhanced both by the length of the lever (made from heavy-gauge tubing) and by use of a roller bearing. This roller bearing travels up the shank of the clutch when the lever is pulled back. The controls do not interfere with an operator wishing to use the foot pedal.
