Powered Wheelbarrows: Ride-On
Left pic of black & white 4-wheeled wheelbarrow with operator platform in front of bin. Rt pic of red & gray dual-tracked wheelbarrow with operator platform in back.

Workers who have difficulty lifting and pushing wheelbarrows or walking behind them can use Ride-On Powered Wheelbarrows to transport over rough terrain and up steep slopes (then dump) many types of bulk materials. All models listed here have a platform on which the operator stands, operate off a battery-powered electric motor (thus no engine maintenance, emissions, or noise), feature handle-mounted forward/reverse and dump controls, and reportedly deliver up to 8 hours continuous runtime. Overland's hopper tub is 10 cubic feet (steel or poly), while Toro's is 14 cubic feet (poly only).

Estimated Cost Cost range: Overland-$4,000; Toro wheeled-$20,000; Toro tracked-$22,000

Limitations Limitations Addressed by Product: Lower extremity, Upper extremity, Strength/endurance, Back
